DESCRIPTION: Water samples will be collected and analyzed for CFCs 11, 12, and 113, SF6,and I-129 on annual hydrographic cruises. 26 Stations with be taken with up to 24 samples each per cruise. CFC and SF6 concentrations will be measured at sea, but I-129 4-6 months later. Data acquired will be used to investigate variability in water mass properties, circulation pathways, and water mass ages/transit times.
