North America ; California ; Northern California
Project Type: Research

DESCRIPTION: The proposal will: 1) establish a comprehensive data base of repeating earthquakes for N. California; 2) perform detailed analysis of the sequences to develop baseline characteristics and recurrence forecasts; 3) identify and update the repeating earthquake catalog with new repeating events; 4) monitor and analyze changes in characteristics of new repeating events relative to baseline characteristics and test the predictive skill of different recurrence models.
