DEP is seeking NPCC to perform the following tasks: 1) Advance regional climate change projections related to extreme events. 2) Assess the impacts of extreme events on critical infrastructure systems and interdependencies. 3) Develop and test indicators and monitoring systems. Columbia University will convene and supervise the teams that carry out these tasks, including management and guiding project activities. Columbia will also carry out research and coordinate research acticvities among members of the NPCC.
OUTCOMES: Third Report of the New York City Panel on Climate Change, including chapters on overall climate science impacts to the City of New York and surrounding metropolitan region, critical infrastructure systems, and indicators and monitoring.
