Shear wave anisotropy in oceanic crust formed by superfast spreading PEA EXP. 335

Lead PI: Dr. David S. Goldberg

Unit Affiliation: Division of Marine & Large Programs

June 2011 - April 2014
Inactive
Pacific Ocean
Project Type: Research

DESCRIPTION: The project measured in-situ anisotropy from dipole flexural wavefields recorded by downhole logging from Hole 1256D using the Dipole Shear Sonic Imager. A new statistical approach to extract stress-induced anisotropy from these data.
