Project Type: Research

DESCRIPTION: Greenland Ice Sheet wide history of snow accumulation rates that extend to early Holocene are not currently available. This project uses radar internal layers, dates them using ice cores and derives accumulation rates that go back in time to early Holocene. At depth, the records of accumulation rates are derived after accounting for strain induced thickness change.
