Project Type: Research

DESCRIPTION: The primary objective of the proposed work is to better understand water flow along the ice-bed interface beneath Antarctica, how this water affects the coupling between ice and the underlying substance, and what role lakes play in the subglacial hydrological system.

OUTCOMES: Primary finding indicate that the compressibility of the water system influences the drainage and failure of the subglacial system
