DESCRIPTION: The project’s purposes are as follows: (1) Good practices and Benchmarks in the Food Chain: The Sponsor is interested to give visibility to good sustainable business practices, in order to promote their scaling up. Accordingly, based on an analysis of the ways in which organizations operate in the food value chain, from farm-level production and sourcing to final consumption, the project will suggest good practices, corporate standards of performance and benchmarks for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Climate Agreement. (2) Input into BCFN activities and reports: The project will provide input into BCFN publications and reports on best practices and case studies in the Agri-Food Sector. (3) Event: Organize a high-level event in September 2019 in New York to present initial findings to the international community.
