Unit Affiliation: Ocean and Climate Physics, Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO)
DESCRIPTION: The proposed activity will investigate how the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea interact with each other or with other equatorial regimes to form quasi-steady state freshwater inventories using in situ and satellite data, as well as inspecting models.
OUTCOMES: Archived and Argo T/S data has been assembled and clues to the processes that control oceanic mix of fresh and salty components are being identified.
