DESCRIPTION: The aim of this NASA funded work is to combine data from several airborne remote sensing instruments from past campaigns to derive better quality cloud products

OUTCOMES: A dataset containing colocated cloud observations from the RSP, eMAS and CPL instruments was constructed. A new technique to obtain vertical structure of ice cloud tops was developed combining polarimetry and lidar. A technique to infer cloud top heights using multi-angle passive observations was evaluated with colocated lidar measurements. A new technique to infer cloud droplet number concentrations was developed. MODIS airborne simulator measurements from past campaigns were recalibrated.
