Unit Affiliation: Biology and Paleo Environment, Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO)
DESCRIPTION: The project will use exactly dated tree ring records to reconstruct historical droughts in the Middle East, North Africa, and Europe. This will produce an "Old World Atlas" which can be combined with the North American Drought Atlas and the Monsoon Asia Drought Atlas.
OUTCOMES: One conference proceeding published.
