DESCRIPTION: The project is to use "commination dating" to determine the transport time of fine clastic sediments produced by Antarctic subglacial erosion and deposition in the Weddell Sea over the last ~250,000 years. This sedimentation rate can be use to determine past glacial weathering rates and thus the contribution of Antarctic sheet ice to global sea level changes.
OUTCOMES: There have been five publications so far from this project.
