DESCRIPTION: WA-BiCC addresses both direct and indirect drivers of natural resource degradation to improve livelihoods and natural ecosystems across the region. The project works with partners at the community, national and regional levels to strengthen policies and systems that will improve natural resource management and the health and resilience of selected coastal and upland forest ecosystems.

OUTCOMES: CIESIN conducted a vulnerability assessment and assessed the change in mangrove areas in coastal areas of Sierra Leone, conducted training in climate information provision for adaptation planning, and developed a living manual on climate information for adaptation.
