DESCRIPTION: IRI will assist CSIRO to enhance food security in Indian Ocean rim countries by improving climate variability predictions. IRI will do research in three areas: 1) develop a consensus forecast by integrating different seasonal forecasts; 2) testing the effectiveness of hindcaste models for farming; and 3) serving as advisor and providing additional research.
