DESCRIPTION: The Agirre Lehendekaria Center for Social and Political Studies (ALC) has been supporting the Climate KIC with monitoring and evaluation services for multinational programming on just transitions to climate resilient economies in three European regions in Poland, Italy, and the Basque Country. As part of that support, the ALC has conducted developmental evaluation techniques to understand social innovation processes and changes experienced in these regions. ALC is currently in the process of analyzing and synthesizing data and will require technical assistance drafting the final report for the Climate KIC.
The Advanced Consortium on Cooperation, Conflict, and Complexity (AC4) has expertise providing analytical services for ALC programs in a variety of global contexts. We have a demonstrated track record of designing evaluation programs, distilling lessons learned from evaluation studies, and sharing knowledge in written media. We propose to provide technical support to the ALC in the drafting of the final report for Climate KIC between the period November – December, 2020. Specifically, AC4 will review Climate KIC documentation and will draft text to include in the final report that summarizes the reasons that climate transitions require developmental evaluation techniques. AC4 will likewise review ALC synthesis and summaries of data to discern lessons on how the developmental evaluation process informed
the larger transition processes in the three regions. Those lessons will be summarized in draft text to include in the final report. Finally, AC4 will assist ALC in disseminating the findings of the report in written format and virtual presentations.
