DESCRIPTION: A 175 meter sediment core from Lake Trasimeno will be analyzed using X-ray and magnetic susceptibility records, mineralogy, inorganic and organic element and isotopic geochemistry, palynology, stratigraphy, C14 dating, and Ar/Ar dating of tephra levels to better understand the paleoclimate and paleoenvironment of central Italy.
