DESCRIPTION: Andrew Kruczkiewicz will provide technical support to the Red Cross/Red Crescent movement and its partners, working with the Red Cross/Red Crescent Climate Centre. This will include meeting with disaster managers, and the potential to represent the Climate Centre in meetings and conferences. Mr. Kruczkiewicz and when appropriate, potentially other IRI staff will carry out desk-based research to support the roll-out of climate services in the humanitarian sector, and design and deliver workshops to help the Red Cross and its partners engage with climate information, including for Forecast-based Financing and Impact-based Forecasting. Andrew will answer help desk requests in pilot projects of the Red Cross in this year.
