- Project Type: Research
DESCRIPTION: The Woodlark Rift of eastern Papua New Guinea will be examined using geologic fieldwork, analytical work, a passive seismic deployment, rock physical properties modeling, a GPS survey, geodynamic modeling, and tectonic synthesis to improve the understanding of the processes governing the origin, structure, composition, and dynamic evolution of continental building blocks.
OUTCOMES: Land-based instruments have been deployed and data is being processed so models can be developed.
