DESCRIPTION: The study report proposes a range of design scenarios for the Post Office site, revealing opportunities for reactivating the village center through inclusion of more affordable housing, definition of Maplewood’s social and economic core, introduction of alternative parking options and improvement of overall walkability and connectivity. By following these sustainable guidelines, Maplewood can lead the region in terms of a series of environmental initiatives (from alternative energy sources, to infrastructure innovation, to mobility) while developing bike-sharing programs.

OUTCOMES: City-level discussion about which solutions to implement.
