DESCRIPTION: The overall goal of our research translation core is to augment and accelerate the impact of our Center's basic and applied science on public policies, regulations, and human behavior, thereby providing greater protection to the public from adverse exposures to arsenic from drinking water and dietary sources such as rice. It is our experience that forming partnerships with key staff members of government agencies responsible for minimizing public exposure to toxic substances is one of the most effective ways of translating science and protecting human health and the environment.
