DESCRIPTION: CIESIN had a subaward on a 1-year exploratory grant to ImageCat, Inc. funded by the NASA Applied Sciences Program. The project demonstrated the initial feasibility of utilizing integrated remote sensing and socioeconomic data on building infrastructure to support applied decision making on earthquake risk management, focusing in particular on the risk insurance industry.
