DESCRIPTION: The team will use laboratory experiments, publicly available information, and knowledge of reservoir structure, compartment size, porosity, and lateral and vertical permeability structure to create time-dependent fluid pressure and flow models. These models will lead to an understanding of magnitude and locations of fluid pressure changes in the subsurface and help determine if the Oklahoma earthquake sequence of 2011 was caused by waste fluid injection.
