Lead PI: Heather Savage, Pratigya Polissar

Unit Affiliation: Seismology, Geology and Tectonophysics, Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO)

North America ; Punchbowl Fault ; California
Project Type: Research

DESCRIPTION: The proposal will study the Punchbowl fault using sampling and analytics to facilitate analyzing scale of the localized features of the fault and built on a previous study. This will help the team determine if the localized features of the Punchbowl Fault experienced significant frictional heating (opposed to their original observation).

OUTCOMES: Samples collected.
