DESCRIPTION: This was a five-year renewal of the Superfund Research Program (SRP) Research Translation Core, "Collaborating with Government & the Public: As and Mn Exposures via Groundwater." CIESIN provided the framework for sustained communication among Columbia’s SRP research projects, cores, governmental agencies, and other interested parties and assisted in integrating multi-source geophysical, geochemical, hydrological, and socio-demographic data into accessible Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and produce maps that enhance both monitoring and regulatory decision making.
OUTCOMES: Integrated data and maps; interactive mapping tool; monthly seminars; project website; workshops; advisory meetings
