DESCRIPTION: This project will significantly improve understanding of the climate risks faced by people who live in urban settings, while providing resonant narratives, a major outcome, about effective solutions that cities may learn from one another. The combination of the storics told by practitioners and experts in their case studies in their own voices and the rigorous meta-analysis across the cases enabled by the searchable on-line UCCRN Case Study Docking Station database will build capacity within cities to develop their own approached to risk and response as they go forward. Further, benefits will accrue not only to individual cities but the networks that link them together. These within-city and across-city linkages are essential tor urban areas to achieve their leadership role as 'first responders' to climate change. Evidence of impact/outcomes where available.
OUTCOMES: Technical Report, Climate Change Projections of 6 key climate hazards for global cities, 18 case studies, Impact data visualized on GIS platform including information for 18 case study cities
