DESCRIPTION: Persistent katabatic winds impact snow accumulation rates in Antarctica leading to enhanced mass loss by sublimation of wind blown snow. This process is currently not included in climate models. This proposal uses airborne radar data to quantify mass loss over wind-scour zones.
