BIOGRAPHY:

Alix is the Associate Director of Academic Initiatives at the Columbia Climate School, where she provides strategic leadership, guidance, and support for the development and implementation of new academic programs at the School, with a focus on cross-university collaborations and links between education, research, and impact. Working in collaboration with the Academic Affairs team, she also helps support and enhance existing programs, student initiatives, and administrative processes. Previously, Alix held several roles at the Earth Institute from 2014-2020. 

Alix is passionate about climate and sustainability education, and has broad expertise in project management, strategic operations, interdisciplinary research, and higher education. She teaches in the MS in Sustainability Management program at the School of Professional Studies at Columbia University, and has co-authored case studies, white papers, and articles on environmental policy and sustainability. Alix holds an MS in Sustainability Management from Columbia University, an MA in International Development from The New School, and a BA in International Relations from DePaul University.
