He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from SUNY Stony Brook and a Master of Science in Technology Management from Columbia University. Arif is the founder of State of the Planet, which began as a blog and grew into the official news site for Columbia University’s Climate School, attracting millions of readers annually.

Arif's passion for emerging technologies and his commitment to staying ahead of the curve have enabled him to make significant contributions to the field. He has received multiple Webby Awards, the highest honors in web, and served as a Webby Awards judge for over a decade. As a member of the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, he continues to help shape the future of the web by evaluating and recognizing the best digital innovations worldwide.
