BIOGRAPHY:
Caitlin joined the academic affairs team to be involved in a range of professional development activities that build the capacity of current students and the wider alumni, including supporting and working with all partner programs. Key projects include leading the All Ivy Environmental and Sustainable Development Career Fair, supporting interdisciplinary skill seminars, and building out the CU Climate & Sustainability Alumni Network.
Before joining the Climate School, Caitlin worked for eight years in the environmental community development sector, creating and facilitating the Chicago Sustainability Leaders Network with the Institute of Cultural Affairs (ICA-USA). During this time, she led adult and young adult educational programs focused on environmental and sustainability policy, social justice initiatives, and culturally-centered behavioral change.
Caitlin's professional area of expertise is in the non-governmental side of governance and working to build capacities so that all stakeholder groups can be powerful change agents in the climate crisis.
Outside of Columbia, Caitlin volunteers with the UN SDSN Youth as the Deputy Project Lead for Education and Capacity Building and as a researcher for the Oxford Net Zero tracker.
