BIOGRAPHY:

Manishka has a background in climate change, conservation and environmental management. At CCSR, she carries out research, stakeholder engagement, and management of the Adaptation for Development and Conservation (ADVANCE) partnership with World Wildlife Fund (WWF). Manishka also provides technical input and capacity building for ADVANCE projects in Asia and Latin America with a focus on climate impacts and integrating climate risk information into planning. She has over 10 years of professional experience and previously worked at IUCN Sri Lanka, Environmental Foundation, and as a consultant. In 2007, she received the UNESCO MAB Young Scientist Award. Manishka has a MA in Climate and Society from Columbia University and a MS in Biodiversity, Conservation and Management from the University of Oxford, UK.
