BIOGRAPHY: Jeffrey Shrader is Assistant Professor of International and Public Affairs at the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) of Columbia University. An economist by training, his research investigates how beliefs affect decisionmaking, how information shapes beliefs, and what the effect of forward-looking behavior can have on empirical analyses. Most of Shrader’s work focuses on estimating damages from climate change and accounts for how individuals and groups anticipate and adapt to those changes. Shrader received his PhD in economics from UC San Diego.
