BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Lin Shen is currently a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, Columbia University. Her research focuses on monitoring ground displacements from earthquakes and volcanic activity using Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR), including earthquake hazard assessment on active faults and global volcanic deformation monitoring through machine learning integration.
Key aspects of her work include:
- A study of Indo-Burma Subduction Zone using InSAR and GNSS
- A comprehensive observational database of deformation at global volcanoes for machine learning applications
