BIOGRAPHY:

For over three decades, Mr. Parsi has held diverse roles encompassing the management, planning, and execution of research computing, administrative solutions and projects, as well as campus infrastructure and services within our institution. 

As the Director and Chief Technologist, he now  bears responsibility for charting the strategic course and providing leadership in fulfilling the computational requirements of the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University. He guides a dedicated team in strategic and operational planning, overseeing the evaluation, implementation, and maintenance of both current and forthcoming initiatives. His oversight ensures the seamless and dependable operation of our production services.

Under his stewardship, his team collaborates closely with our research groups, augmenting the efforts of researchers and administrators in effectively harnessing computing, storage, networking, and security resources.

This partnership contributes to the advancement of our world renown Earth Sciences research institution, Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, which is dedicated to pursuing foundational knowledge about the origins, evolution, and future of the natural world.
